To enter to the Doctor of Philosophy program, a basic linguistics academic is needed. If the student comes from a master that is not of linguistics, he will have to take the minimum content subjects that are written in the Basic Education section of the Curricula (syntax, phonology, morphology, semantics and discourse analysis), moreover, the specialized and research lectures, according to the program established by his advisor and Tutoring Committee. The advisor, in agreement with the Tutoring Committee and the student will determine the special modification to the program to ensure that the student will get enough linguistic background to conduct the doctoral thesis, and complete the needed credits for Titration.
